I'm sorry to report that this is - for now - the final issue of Unity.
The comic starring Valiant's super-team always had a rare honor in my house - it always moved right to the top of my reading stack.
That's because it was consistently excellent, with sharp writing, strong artwork, and an interesting (if odd) mix of heroes.
For the final issue, that all flies out the window. Mostly.
Instead, they've assembled a small army of writers and artists to have fun with the team - mostly through the wacky focus of Woody & Quantum.
So what you get, mostly, is a lighthearted mix of silliness and slapstick. It's fun for what it is - but I'd much rather have more of the original concept.
Ah well.
