Sorry for the scarcity of post the past few days, readers - your pal Chuck has been snowed under with real-world stuff. Let's try to get back on track with a couple of quick reviews, starting with Savage Avengers!
The second issue of this hard-hitting series continues the very slow process of "putting the band together."
It includes a face-to-face with Conan and a wizard; the silliest first aid attempt ever by Wolverine; lots of tremendous artwork by Mike Deodato; and a pretty absurd ambush by a certain crime-hating soldier.
Violent and grim, but surprisingly, I don't hate it. So far!
Grade: A-
